94-95 Mustang headers on P heads - will not work.

Post by MalcolmV8 »

Just FYI for anyone searching or wondering. I checked my 95 GT headers on a 2000 Explorer motor with the P heads. Cylinder 4 is very questionable, 5, 6, and 7 are totally blocked. There's no way you'd get a spark plug in or out or even get a spark plug wire on the plug.

Thats to bad. But FMS makes p headers for 94/95 mustangs. They will work on the ranger with some mods.

95 exhaust

Hey Malcolm, Are you sure the headers you have are off a 95. I thought the 94/95 Stangs had the "P" heads on them. I never worked on one or looked at one close enough to know but I thought that was how I alway's read everything, maybe this is proof you don't believe everything you read.

Very sure. They came off the 95 GT crate motor I purchased. I also had a 95 GT Mustang a while back. They are not P heads. In fact I just sold the stock 95 heads I pulled off the motor a few months ago. They were standard Mustang E7 heads.

Thanks
Malcolm

Cool, I almost purchased a set off a 95 not long ago thinking I could make them work, glad I didn't now. Thanks for the info.

P-heads and '95' Mustang

Post by Dave »

Posted this before but Central Coast Mustang does say they have headers that fit both that chassis and the 'P' heads.
