T V Cable

I was wandering if any one hasused the ranger A4LD tv cable that hookss under the dash to the accellerator pedal and modified it to the AOD transmission. My carburator is for a manuel trans and has no hook up for a tv cable or rod.I wonder if its possible. my carb is a good one and I hate to get rid of it.
