Hard to believe this got buy the proofreaders

Post by Dave »

Finially got around to reading my last months called "My Ford". Get that for buying a new Ford. Right on page two is this really nice looking truck. I may be stupid at times but at least smarter than who ever wrote this. The writing circled in white clearly says "-----pose on their wedding day with a 1951 F-100."

Sorry but the first F-100 came out in 1953. The half tons before that were F-1's.

That was so far before my time, I would've never noticed that. I never knew the original F100s were called F1s. Interesting...no doubt the editors didn't catch that.

I wasn't completely sure and didn't want to look more stupid than I already do but I thought the "100" didn't come out until the truck with the rounder hood. Wasn't sure if it was 53 or 54. I always wanted one of them trucks.

Dave, you are absolutely correct. It was way before my time too so I missed it :) Check this out though

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_F-Series

You should write to Ford and editor of that publication and let them know. Maybe they'll send you a coupon for something since that is pushed out by Ford to buyers of new Fords. I used to get them too.
