Anyone know where I can get a Soak tank for carbs?

Post by carvinmark »

I need this to clean carbs prior to rebuild. Back in the 70's (showing my age) I used to have a small tank, about a gallon size, that I got from an auto parts store that had a cleaning chemical and a lift tray to get the pieces back out. It worked great and I need another on now, but have had no luck finding anything.
I have a pair of 450 holleys that are kind of dingy so I would like to make them look nice before I rebuild them. What do you do to clean up carbs besides spray can cleaner? Any tips would be great!
Oh ya, Rangers getting tunnel ram this summer! There goes any hope of getting any decent MPG.

the Auto-Zone here has that carb soak in a gallon and a 5 gallon can here ... with the little basket in it also ... i think the 1 gallon can is like $11 or so .....if ya got a NAPA or O'Riely .. check them too ... along with Advance Auto Parts and Car Quest ... someone is bound to have it ...... good luck ......

I was gonna say same as grumpy, use to get a gallon can that had basket and chemical in it at Napa. Has been a couple years though, just presuming they still have it.
