Lower Ball Joint Question

I am replacing my cracked I beams with DJM dream beams.
The lower ball joints when pressed all the way to shoulder on the DJM beams do not extend thru the I beam so the retaining ring cannot be installed.
The upper ball joints have the retaining rings installed.
I looked at my old stock beams and the lower ball joints do not have retaining rings only pressed in.

Do I need the retaining rings on the lower ball joints or ok just pressed in?

I seem to recall not having the retaining rings, too.
Hasn't fallen apart yet!

my Bell Tech ones used the lock rings ..... might not on others depending on brand ...

I do not believe the ring was used on the boys with DJM beams. If I remember to look tomorrow I will check it out and get back to you.
