Kool snowman, but did you build it or did the kids do it....lol. We got 4" Thursday and there calling for another 2 tomorrow.

Dave, I do not know how you handle that. I would be looney by the end of winter.

fordmike, you enjoy that 70* stuff, I lived in Az once and had a Grandma there. Been there when it was 128*, the air was so thin they shut the airport down cause they were afraid the planes wouldn't lift off.... I would rather have a couple months of 20* than deal with that. It was brutal, guess we could all move North for summer and South for winter, you know like the retired people do..... :D Hey that's you isn't it Dave.

LOL actually I did build this one. Normally the kids do but they were to busy sledding down the hills and playing on the quad last weekend so I figured I'd build one :)
Few more inches on the way for tonight.

Yea it does get very hot here during the summer and that is very ok with me as I have been here all my life and I love it. I can deal with the heat much easier then I can with the cold. When its in the 120's here you just pull the truck into the shade and get a swap cooler to move the air and its all good. Its great living here as there is so much that you can do. snow Skiing in the winter and water skiing in the summer its great. I have been back east there a few times and I will say that it is very nice to see all the green and trees back there and its a thing that I would like to do again some day. There are so many nice places here in the USA.

Well Grumpy,
Nice pictures but up here we call that frost! No snow this time, sent it all down to Chicago. These are from a couple of Winters ago. Even in 4-low and locker, couldn't make it out of the driveway. Was a lot deeper on passenger side than I thought. It's over 170 ft to the road. Last year decided too old to blow it so have someone plow it, well worth it.

I have a full sized Tundra I was having way to much fun with the last few days. We received 12" on Tuesday alone. Well front part of the passenger's side inner fender well plastic is ripped off from wheeling and hasn't been replaced yet. This exposes the intake to the air filter.

Well out playing in 2' and more of snow with drifts etc. Hauling around, sliding, drifting, donuts and after a while I notice power goes away to where truck will barely run. I knew what it was right away. Here's what I found :)

My air box completely compacted
airbox.jpg
My poor air filter jam packed with snow
airfilter.jpg
and here's a path I shoveled on Tuesday so my dog could get off the deck from the house lol.

yeah was barely running at all. I couldn't hardly even spin the tires in snow. I drove home at 2k rpm all the way because that's as high as it would go.

Got lucky here, winter stuff went just north of us. We got lot's of rain but no ice or snow. About 35 miles north they got hit pretty hard with ice. Felt sorry for them, we had a serious ice storm here two years ago. No electricity for nine day's. If it wasn't for wood heat it would have been deadly. I'll take the snow over the ice any day.

Bet you're glad you went junk yarding yesterday! This sure had been a crazy year for weather. All next week up here is going to be mid-30's. When I move up here in '86', the average temp for Feb was 2 above.
