89 Ranger Wiring Diagrams

Post by cgrey8 »

I've got Mustang wiring diagrams. However what I don't have is wiring diagrams for my truck. Anybody got 89 Ranger 2.9L Supercab wiring diagrams or some similar year 2.9L diagrams?

I wish I could rember the name of the book I bought off line...It has the complete wiring for the motor to truck.(year motor/year truck)
When you buy the book you tell them the year of each and they put at the end a complete wiring diagram..Which wire goes to what connector and all.
I have the book on my lap top and it is down at the moment..If I get it up soon I'll send the info.

I found my ranger book and I will tear out the wiring page for the model you requested 89 ranger 2.9 EFI and scan them and E-mail them to u. If I knew how to post them I would.
Also I will attach a couple of sheets from another book, it may help it may not.

I'm not sure if there'd be a copyright problem with having that posted, otherwise I'd do it.

Thanks again...

I dont know if your interested in anpther book to help but Harwood Engineering's V8 Swap Manual is the book I used and it was dead on.Everything I needed to know (about the wiring) it's 25.00 but to me it was worth every penny.
Thought it would help ( couldnt hurt )

The Harwoods manual is worth it. I bought one 5 years ago, haven't done the swap yet. Kids. But, am in the final planning stages. I ve got the wiring diagrams if you send me an email.

I would really advise against sending anything that Matt worked so hard to put together on his own time and money. You had to be around when he was a regular. The same wiring info can be had from the Ford wiring swap manual that can be had for $5. I think that is where Matt got his info from. I have both.

I wouldnt send the book or disgrams of that book because in the book he asked that you not share the info with anyone..I think it is a great book that is why I'm recomending it. And it wouldnt work for chris anyway(my book)Mine is for a 92 ranger and an 87 motor.
When you order the book you havae to tell them what ur working on.
But since you have the book u know that :D

The Ford wiring swap diagrams are for just about any swap pre-98 years. Meant to fit even into non-EFI applications (such as a 67 Mustang). Just splice the right wires and you can convert the tired old car into today's world of performance. (Some assembly and parts not included). Try and convert a '68' Camero as easy as it is with a Ford.
