How much will a typical head gasket crush?

Most head gaskets mfgs advertise what their gasket crush thickness is. However if you have a gasket that doesn't disclose that, how much crush can you generally expect? For instance if I measure the thickness of the gasket at the bore, how much will that typically reduce by when torqued down? Any ideas?
