So I'm trying to sell my 88 tbird

Post by Soul »

Mostly do you think I can sell the car for what I'm asking, I'm actually taking a huge loss but Want to get rid of the damn thing. I'm not really sure what to ask and realize that this is kind of a specialty car, your average joe isn't going to want it. Be honest and let me know what you think (btw only really wanting 3k but figured mark up and leave room to haggle)

As my Uncle always said it is worth what your willing to sell for and what buyer is willing to give for it. You just have to find that person, thats the hard part. I love those body style birds and always wanted one. If I had the cash I would come and look at it but like Dave said time I have the money, well. Anyways best of luck with it.

I think I'm gonna drop the price, realistically I'm wanting about 2700 to finish out my 302 for the ranger. But :( still huge loss, just sucks to sink so much money in something and have to sell it for next to nothing as no one will want it.

The same is likely to be true of the Ranger. Working on project vehicles is a labor of love, not an investment you should expect a return on. I've got probably 8 grand in my Ranger from all the things I upgraded and replaced on it. I'll have more when I get the 331 in it. If I upgrade from the T5z to a T56 Magnum, I'll have even more in it. But I knew going into the project that if I ever tried to sell the truck, there's little chance I could ever get back what I got in it. My truck is my hobby. And hobbies don't have to make financial sense. The enjoyment of doing the project is the payback. So far, it's been worth every penny to me.
