going to do a v8 swap in the near future

Post by painterdude923 »

I have a 97 extended cab, 2 wheel drive with a 4.0. I have 235000 miles on it now. looked at a 93 302 from a bronco yesterday and didnt buy but still thinking about it. is the 93 from a bronco a roller motor? i'm going to convert back to a carburator and simplify things. I am not in a hurry so should I wait for another to come along like an explorer gt40 or a mustang 5.0 h/o? or is the bronco 5.0 good?

It should be a rollor motor. In my opinion, I would find a mustang 5.0 HO. But that one would still work just fine. I dont think you would be able to keep the FI in that bronco anyway. They are very tall and bulky. I took a 5.0HO and put a carb setup on mine.
