Super Swap long Tube Headers Price reduced to $200 ***SOLD

Post by Warpig Racing »

Ones seen in the pic. Paint is not as good as some has baked off. These are slightly used. i got a set of ceramic coated ones and dont need these now. The drivers side collector is not the black painted one, it is the new ceremic one from my other set. i didn't want to redo the mods on the collector to get it to fit. $200 shipped to 48 states.

http://store.summitracing.com/partdetai ... toview=sku $439 at Summit. This is what i paid.

these are the ones.

What cylinder heads are you running? I've run a set of these before with a set of AFR's but on the installation notes is says that they will not work with Dart or Windsor heads. Any ideas as to why they won't work for that style of head?

I have procomp heads. They are a replica of the Edelbrock. Not sure why they would not fit with the other heads?

I had to modify the drivers side collector on mine. Has to do with my custom motor mounts as seen in the pic and using the larger c6. Note that I also had to modify my steering shaft as the large donut shaped rubber dampner wouldnt clear either. Once again, probably due to the mounts that I made. See additional pics of this mod.

Note they are currently about the color of the 3rd image down.

I don't know about the Dart heads but the World Windsor heads have the sparkplug angled and may interfere with header.

Dont the stock heads have angled plugs? I know that the older SBF have angled plugs. I am certain that the aluminum heads that I currently have have the angled plugs as well. I guess it could be the position of the plugs in those heads compared to the stock. I wish i had a set of Dart heads to be able to tell you.

im runnin the procomp heads now too, the "face" of the exhaust port is angled and it will kick the header collector into the frame rails, as its already tight down there it doesnt take much more to cause a major headache, my supercomps are still for sale too

were you not able to use these headers with the procomp heads? The colloctor on the drivers side, I cut a small pie shape and rewelded the colloctor (not on this set for sale). That was so I would have a straight shot back which was necessary for me to make the exhaust w/o using a pipe bender.

BTW, how do you like the procomp heads? I'm personally dont think they are quality heads. As soon as I can justify it, I want to replace them with something else.

ive been using the turbos with the procomps, 210cc was the head size and i think the quality was comparable to any other aftermarket head, how much would you want for them, i might have a person interested in a set, they out run my j302 heads. ive torn apart my procomp heads and a set of victor jr heads and the quality was identical between the two in fact i probly had to do less prep work to the procomps.

do you have a pic you can send me or a link or something as all the pix that you posted do not work...... what name brand are they? .... what size tubes? will they work on stock 5.0 heads? ........ the more info thee better for me as i am looking for a set of hedders now so i can at least start my swap and not have a set of open exhaust ports sittin there for dirt dobbers to build a nest in the ports and ruin the valves ... i got MOST of everything else to do this except for like 3 things.............. hedders being one .... lol

im goin ot have to bum around in my wifes 1998 Exploder AWD till i can finish mine so i havent started on it yet.... but gettin close !!!!!!!!

i got the L&L mounts ............. will the hedders work with them ??

No sir, but they do look great in the corner. :D

I'm still a long way from a running/driving truck. Gone through a few 'speedbumps' with this project but that's what makes it fun.

I thought it was a good deal, and when I get to that part, I've already got headers. I'll let you know when I do get them on.
Thanks for asking. :)
