I believe this was discussed a while back but I am unable to find the answer.
What is the bolt pattern size of the ranger axles 5 on 5 5 on 4.5 or what?

AFAIK, Rangers have always been 5x4.5" bolt pattern. The only exception might be back when Rangers came with the rears smaller than 7.5". I can't remember the exact rear size, but I remember they were less than 7". They didn't last long against the durability of the 7.5". Then when the V6s got more and more powerful, the 8.8" was an option...somewhere around 1986 but even then weren't prevalent until the 4.0L came out in 1990.
