c4 kick down

anybody using a c4 with efi. i need some ideas on hooking up the kick down. this is on a 98 exployer 5.0 in a 93 ranger

you dont need it for proper operation of the c4, you can manually downshift it with out problems

Correct, don't need it. Unless you just want it. And if you just want it I would check with Lokar and see if they make something.

Is your c4 vacuum controlled?

I was always wondering about that with the C-4. Never did know what version I had in my early Courrier 302 , had no kick-down on it but it would down shift at certain times. Running a stock 302 with a Holley Street 4-v manifold (single plane) with a 450 cfm spread-bore carb.

yes it has the modulator but it also has a kick down linkage. it is out of a 81 t-bird

i know that my c6 in my 68 wasnt droping down in passing gear until i adjusted the kick down linkage. i know it isnt any difference the droping it down into 2nd manuly
