A4LD shifting

Post by Bazowak »

Okay, I think I have the lock converter problem figured out on my 85 B2. I'm running a switch to the lock up solenoid to control it myself.

The other thing I'm thinking of doing is to do away with the feedback type carb and EGR system and running a "Dura-spark set up. The rangerstation.com says that the trans won't shift right if this is done. Do any of you know how to remedy this?

I've also seen on the site that the A4LD has a 3-4 shift solenoid, could this also be manually controlled by a switch on the dash to make it work right? Any insight would be great.

Man, this B2 has been great but the A4LD has been somewhat of a headache.
