oil filter relocation question
ok, im thinking i may have had my oil fiter relocation kit hooked up wrong. does the " in " on the block got to the " in " on the filter or the " out " maybe im thinking wrong. But i guess it could be read as, out of the block to the in on the filter. or is it, in to in and out to out??

Re: oil filter relocation question
Just using engineering logic, I'd think OUT on one component would go to IN on the other.
An arrow of flow would've been more useful.

Re: oil filter relocation question
thats what i was thinking. out of motor in to filter, and out of filter in to motor. thats the way it was hooked up. but i just wanted to make sure i had it right. i would think it would have caused some problems with the filter or oil pressure if it was hooked up wrong and I didnt have any problems with oil pressure. but want to make sure its going threw the filter right. Dont want to ruin a new motor..

Re: oil filter relocation question
Look in the ports!! You'll be able to tell!
Oil always flows from outside the filter to the middle, and up the tube in the middle into the engine.
It's the same philosophy on both the block, and on the filter adapter mounted to your frame.

Re: oil filter relocation question
the out on the block would go to in on the filter mount and the out on the filter would go to the in on the block. I did mine wrong and it cost me a lot of money.
