Okay guys I've done the search feature and searched all different types of stuff for the Ranger t5 clutch issues
There's just several opinions out there and I don't know what to do.
From what I understand the best way to go is a Datsun 280 z clutch slave cylinder, with F 150 clutch fork, and that weird ford to datsun connector schematic that I saw on here.
Basically what I wanna know is is this the best way to go I'm just ready to get this thing done
Just like most other people on here my clutch is a fully disengages but won't fully engage if I adjusted the other way it'll fully engaged but will not fully disengage.
My problem is basically not enough throw
Will this solve my problem and is there anything else I need to know ??
thanks for all your help guys

Re: Trying to sort out the confusion
What's your current setup?
As for what's best, that's purely a matter of opinion and opinions vary as you've found. The 280z slave setup is a popular one and from what I've heard is the cheaper option if you can get a hold of ancillary pieces to plumb everything together.
I chose a different route and reused as much stock equipment as possible by using an 83-84 Ranger V6 external slave. The stock quick-connect adapter on the stock center-mounted slave on the V6 trans fit onto the 83-84 external slave and so I reused my entire existing hardline. The slave cylinder is slightly pricier, but I think it makes a cleaner setup. But again, that's just my opinion and this setup has worked great...and my truck's been my daily driver since the day I got it on the road with a V8.
So I don't know that there is any "best" way to go. You just need to understand the various options and choose the one that works best for you.

Re: Trying to sort out the confusion
Not sure what you mean by using a F150 clutch lever, the one that works is the '82-93' Mustang one. The two are completely different designs. The 280Z is the slave of choice, don't know how Chris got that other one to work. What are you using now?

Re: Trying to sort out the confusion
Look for a larger master cylinder. I'm using a 7/8" bore master from a '92-older Ranger, and modded my pedal bracket so it can be bolted to the fire wall. 1983/84 Ranger Diesel slave, braided line and Russel adapters from -AN to Ford fittings.
Your stock master is 5/8" bore, and most slaves are 3/4", so you won't push quite enough fluid.

Re: Trying to sort out the confusion
Honestly I'm not really sure of my current setup my brother in law did most of the swap work I did a lot of the paint and swapping the body panels and stuff,
I will see what I can do about getting out of there with a camera and trying to take some pictures of what I got going on
Thanks again!
