I hope to swap a V8 in my '01 one day. I think a 3V 4.6 would be nice... With one of those whistling intake manifolds.
Mine may not be a 4.6, but I do like the whistle/wine it makes.. lol... My drivers side mount is thicker and triple thick where it bolts to the engine so it will sit level
HERE IS THE PASSANGER SIDE.

Kind of hard to see this one. I didnt take a close up pic of it when I had it out..

I wonder if anybody has done a new 5.0L swap in a Ranger yet? All the vehicles with those engines are probably too new and likely still under original warranty. My guess is it'll be a few years before we see transplanted "new" 5.0s in anything. But that would be a neat project for whoever decides to do it.

Chris, it's been done by those with money and time. Seen a couple swapped into early Fords, think they have tighter engine compartments than Ranger. This Ranger swap started over a year ago by BBR, if you had a Mustang you's know there name. Sure isn't an easy swap.
From personal experience, never had a car/truck that hit 6800 rpm so fast. Whole new world of performance out there.
