idle searching

its been awhile since i have been on, have 5 const jobs going on. my truck has started searching for idle when im just idling. it has done it off and on in the past but now it is becoming real anoying. it doesnt die but close. any ideas?

It's been so long since I've had to diagnose anything like this without access to the tune or datalogging, I couldn't say. But if that happened to me, that's where I would look...the tune. Not much can't be fixed by manipulating the tune, short of bad hardware.

You said it comes and goes. Vacuum leak? or perhaps a sticking IAC motor.
