making my truck super :)

Post by Toomanycars »

well i was cleaning the shop getting things ready to strip this 5.0 and I found something I completely forgot I had.. A sn93 paxton supercharger.. I have to get a seal kit for it .. A friend was going to throw it away because he thought it was junk .. I took it and took it apart to find that since it had been left empty the seals were dry and cracked other than that it looks new inside.. I was thinking this was a very popular super charger for mustangs .. now I know its old but since I already own it its like free power ..

So what are everyone's thoughts on this .. I only have the SC . no brackets or anything else. but i think it would be worth it to track them down or build my own ..

I thought he was running twin turbos on a 347 with AFR heads. Or does he have a different Ranger he's running an SC on?

Chris, think you are thinking of Steve with a nice white Ranger from York, PA. Who I'm talking about has:
"1986 Ranger with 1990 5.0HO roller motor
Ported GT-40 heads with 1.7 rollor rockers
E-303 cam with gear drive
Duel plane air gap intake with 750cfm Holly
Paxton SN93 Supercharger with about 6psi of boost
T-5 trans
Large tube shorty headers
Stock posi rear end"
Don't know his real name. He's been on here a lot, deer hunter, back problems.

Maybe you are right. Come to think of it, his forum name is 87ranger or something like that isn't it?
