98 3v 4.6 4x4 ranger project

Post by modernprimitive »

hello all. i'm new here, and wanted to post pics of my latest project. it's pretty rough and i still have a lot that i want/need to do to it, but it will get me through the winter, and i'll have all summer to get it how i want it.
it's a 98 ranger 4x4 with an 09 3v 4.6, 6r80 trans, and 3.73s.
the plan is to drop it another 2 inches with suspension maxx keys in the front, and an s&w ladder bar and coil over rear suspension. add a set of forged wheels wrapped in bfg g-force rubber and go see what it can do.

Well that sure looks like a fun project. The 4.6 is getting to be more popular. If I was to start over, I'd get one of the FRPP "Hot Rod" crate motors and the matching stand-alone electronics.
