Bled the brakes today from installing the line lock. Painted the starter and the clutch fork. Did some cleaning and touch up on the engine compartment and cleaned up the carb. Now I have to wait for the flywheel before I can do anything more. I am getting anxious, want this motor in like yesterday!

Got the new flywheel this afternoon. Apparently somebody used the wrong size bolts to hold the pressure plate to the wheel, hence the stripped bolt holes. I picked up the correct metric bolts. clutch is on as well as the trans so it is ready to go in the truck. Now I have to make the time to finish it, looks like middle or end of next week till I can get back at it. will post pics soon.

Got it running, gear drive is way quieter then I figured it would be. Going to tune it in now and then out of the shop. Going to pick up a 88 LX convert with a 331 and T5 in the morning :o . Starting to accumulate lots of toys.

Progress is always good! More toys is more better! What else you got to do in the Winter up there? I guess you could stud the tires on that sand rail and go ice racing. One thing that sounds better than a gear drive is a belt drive that moves air. Old Trucker posted of him starting that 347 of his up, talk about some noise. Should be up in the video section.
