I dont know yet.

Theres this guy that my dad is really good friends with. He has a hydraulics shop, and I worked for him a few years ago. I've gone to him for a couple odds and ends fittings and he's always just told me to take them.

I'm not sure if he does braided line though. While I was working there, I never saw him do it. I'm almost positive that he doesnt have any anodized fittings either, just regular steel and brass.

I'm going to ask him the next time I see him if he can make braided lines, even if I had to buy the fittings. Either way, it still would save me some money if he was to get the fittings from his suppliers opposed to me buying them out of Jegs.

Hey man, you aren't too far away from me. I know that we make power steering lines as well as fuel lines at work. Our fittings just screw into the lines. It isn't the stainless braided stuff but I assume that it would be the same.

I bought quite a bit of line for mine, I am piecing the fuel system together one step at at time. Up next I need to get a cell. I am thinking about hitting Doug Herbert up and see what they have in stock.

Where you from?

Doug Herberts is going down hill. They dont have crap anymore and sometimes you call them they say yea we got it come on and get it. You drive up there to find out they really dont happen. Ive heard that from quiet a few people. I would just order one through Summit. There pretty cheap and the shipping is fasssst.

I picked up my 16 gal fuel cell for $100. Thats w/ the sending unit and a autometer fuel level gauge.

One of those things somebody bought and decided they didnt need it. I've saved alot of money that way. :D

Probably will just be easier to take the bed off. It doesnt take 5 minutes to get it off. 6 bolts and 1 plug then just lift it off.

He could just have a set of posts somewheres else. Be it the back of the bed, or behind the original gas door.
That way, never even have to look at the battery. :)

Not sure about his truck but on my red truck you could still jump it under the hood by using the larger terminal on the starter solenoid on the fender well and use the motor or chassis as ground.

Guess that would work.. I have my relay mounted to the frame under the cab so the wires cant be seen.

I though about doing away with mine on the fender also and doing away with it all together. I have one of the mini starters and they already have one solenoid on them so I could just use it and take the old one on the fender and just toss it.
