Here is my Ranger, it needs a bit of work but the price was right.
The engine is from a 1968 Mustang 302 with ???????? Km on it..... and runs like sh*t
Will have the rust fixed up soon and was thinking about some sort of drop, have to do my research.
Well I hope you all like it and I look forward to learning about my new ride with help from this form.
P.S Why the hell is my truck so slow ???????? Help me. Its has no balls past 3,000 RPM at all and even from 0 to 3,000 there's not much. I have done a tune on it, other than the air filter....I have no history on this truck so I'm not really sure what it has for a drive train. I bought it off some young kid who probably did not mantian it properly.
Let me no what you guys think.

Re: 1983 Purple ranger
Well your picture doesnt work, but as to why it has no 'balls' is something that nobody can tell you from the information you gave us.
To start out, do the simple crap. New cap/wires/plugs. Change the fuel filter, I've seen something similar happen on a vehicle and it was the fuel filter. If that doesnt work, it could possibly be a crab carb.
If you dont get any gains out of that, I would do a compression check. Possibly the rings are shot and your getting way to much blow by and not making any power.
Just keep in mind that an engine only needs air, fuel, and spark... all in the right orders and at the right time, and it will run.
Good luck and get those pictures fixed.

Re: 1983 Purple ranger
I see you fixed the pictures...
It looks good, not a color that you see everyday, I like it.
Just fix that little bit of rust, clean up under the hood, and get that engine to scream and you'll be more than happy with the thing.

I agree, when I saw the color was purple, I thought "UGH". I really do like that shade, truck has a lot of promise. Find out that motor problem and love it. Welcome to the site!
