Let's play count your cars!

Post by 2lo-rngr »

Let's see how many ford's litter our driveways, as well as other vehicles... what's your yard count? lol. I'll go first. I think i don't have that many, although my friends call my yard a used car lot. I usually have atleast one or two cars here that are side jobs for people too... I'll count my cars then add in the sidejobs that are currently in the "yard."
My Fords:
1. 92 F150 4x4
2. 90 Ranger x-cab 2wd
3. 90 Mustang LX hatch
4. 88 Mustang LX notch
5. 04 Explorer XLT 4x4 (the wifes)
6. 66 Mustang coupe (not currently here)
Others:
7. 99 Mitsubishi Galant v6
8. 95 BMW 540i M-Sport
Side work:
9. 00 Jeep Cherokee sport
10. 94 Dodge Pickup

So 9 technically, the 66 isn't here, it's at my Dad's. lol... that's alot. luckily I have two driveways. I also had the pleasure of having this in my driveway for about a week. 05 Porsche Carerra S. I detailed it for an older guy I met, who is also who I got the BMW from. NASTY RIDE!!! this thing gets down. 355hp, 6 speed. No match for my mustang, but damn! Love the sound of the flat 6! I didn't admire the glares from people though. a late 20's guy driving around in a 90k car, i get it. In this pic is my old lady playing pretend. I DID let her drive it down the street though. She's a good manual driver, and I figured, when is the next time we'll have the opportunity to drive a porsche 911? ... haha......

hah! similar at my house. the ranger runs but is partially disassembled for paint prep and a motor swap ( two years waiting). The 90 mustang is spread throughout my garage, basement, and bedroom, waiting on some engine compartment upgrades ( two years now also ) and the 88 lx runs but is a 4 cyl donor car. None of them are driven on the roads. I am also looking for an early 60's falcon to build for the ol' lady, but I'll probably want one of the others finished before I take on another!

Wow you guys have to much money LOL - Dave why do you have three red Rangers? that one just cracks me up. When I saw the avatar I figured you photoshop'd your red ranger 3 times over. Now that I see the bigger picture I see they are all different. How funny :)
That 911 is nice too, I'd love the opportunity to have a test drive in one.

That is funny about the trucks. planned to have 3 red ones or just by luck turned out that way? lol. Yeah that 911 is awesome. With the flip of a switch, it lowers itself a little and firms up the ride, good stuff. I wouldn't want to buy tires for it though. Ended up putting a set on the rear for the owner after seeing they were showing cords after just 18k miles, and he's an older guy who doesn't beat on it. the rears have that negative camber and it just chews them up. tire size? 295/30-19. the rear rims are 19x11. crazy huh? those things are WIDE. I'm supposed to detail it again for him/do a little routine maintenance once spring gets here, I'll take some pics of actual width then. I have a high 500hp mustang, so it's not shaky fast to me, but what I really did admire was the torque of this thing. I could be in 6th gear going 40, roll the throttle on and the damn thing would STILL get up and move. It's got that low end power. and like I said the sound... at about 4-5k it breaks up and oh man, i wet my pants when I hear that. lol. I usually don't rev that high city driving, but I did in that just to hear that thing. lol
Too much money? I wish. If I had money, there'd be a terminator in my driveway too. If I had TOO MUCH money, there'd be a super snake in my driveway... lol I'll have to stick to my foxes for now.

19x11 oh man lol. That is insane. Although I've always been surprised at their somewhat low hp numbers, in this case only 355hp. Some how they seem to put it to much better use though because I'm sure it would fly by my car. I'd still love to run one in my car though just to see how they compare. Maybe get my camera out and get a picture of 911 tail lights :D

Don't have the red one in the middle anymore, traded for a blue Edge. Closest Ranger has a dead 4.0 with only 66K on it, great shape and the 4 door. Had to get the far Ranger just to get around in the Winter. We had 29" snow this last Dec, new all time record for any month. Never had to time to replace the dead 4.0 with the Explorer motor. Worked a lot of OT and it was a 80 mile back and forth to work. Big house, big lawn, no time and now no money. Had enough spare parts due to bad planning so I had enough left over to build up a two wheel fun truck, know how that goes?

No Malcolm, you should be able to toast the Porsche, well, maybe with slicks, and on a straight line. lol. My friend brought out his relatively stock 87 gt (cam/intake/exhaust) with an S-trim and we went at it. It was about dead even. I was on his bumper the whole time but not enough to pass. Maybe above 130 I would have passed and started to pull, but we didn't go that far. it was fun though!

Well I opened up the other garage (actually the basement) and found this collection of Fords. Lot cheaper to run. Think I'm going to have a all Ford Hot Rod/Custom show coming up soon also. Later in the month there should be a Ford truck show.
