Hey Grumpy, Seems like there are several of you here with bad back problems. Mine went away when I quit with the wifes horses.
I had nvever even been to that Wiki part of the site! Sure see a lot of things that could be done with it. I'm not working much either right now, just from home. Cleaning and getting my computer room all set up. Found a "Master Chart" that identifies all the different circuirts on that wiring diagram for the Mustang. Sure looks like the circuit numbers are the same across the board from Mustang to Ranger. Find a circuit numbered 39 and it shows it to be temp gage to temp sending unit. Also a cross reference with the color coding of the wires. 1059 different circuits in all.
Thanks for the heads up! Give me a shout here anytime, Winters coming.

Hiya Dave, how goes it ?

i hurt my back in 1995 and have had 4 back surgeries and got 10 pieces of titanium in my lower back now .. im also looking at a couple more surgeries in the future too ..... as of now i have got to go to a back specialist because im having some BAD probs out of the hardware they put in my back in 2001 ... im getting ALOT of popping and stuff and when that happens my legs go dead and i hit the ground where i stand .. but ill get better in time.. i hope !! lol ... im listed as 100% disabled and cant work but i do all of my own vehicle work .... even tho it takes me 3 to 4 times as long as it would anyone that isnt disabled. Sorry to hear about your back probs too .. but yeah.... there seems to be a few of us "criples" around ............ hahahahahahahaha .............

anyway ..... on that wiring diagram.... there is one on the wiki page too of the mustang wiring harness.... its in GOOD quality color and all too.... come on over and join and check it out .. add stuff if you want to too .... its open to ALL members here and anyone else for that matter.... its EASY to join up just fill out a page of stuff and go get ya confirmation email and post away .. like i said.. im changing and adding andmoving stuff around so it will be a little easier to navigate around .... but come on over and join up .... would be a GREAT thing to have ya there !!!

Yep, I signed up before my last post about the Wiki. Sounds like a good place to drop in a lot of good info, kind of a good collection place. Sure might be easier than a search does some times.
That Mustang wiring diagram over there is the one I refered to. It gives you the number of the circuit but not what it's function is. I really don't know much about anything pre '98' but sure have learned a lot about the mechanical areas of the later swaps.
Good luck with the back. It sure takes me a lot longer to do the simple things on the truck anymore also, old bones just don't like getting under there anymore.

yeah i hope too .......... maybe one of these years ill get a little better on the back probs...... but im not really holding my breath on it .. lol

the wiring diagram over on the wiki is easy to figure out even if it dont list the specific thing it does...... just trace it to the connection point and there it tells what it is for .. thats what i do .. lol

anyway .. post some stuff if ya got it or know where to find it

For those that don't know the wiki is a part of the web site anyone can modify. So you can all add info, edit stuff, change it around and keep it updated. You see a typo or misinformation simply change it. It's a great way for everyone to get their two cents in and put together a vast collection of knowledge.
Just create a login on the wiki and you're good to go.

Grumpy,
I have also had a couple of surgeries over the last 2 years but nothing like what yours sounds like.

I too have not looked at the wiki in along time but it looks like you found something to work on.

When I was laid up with my back this forum, outside of my family, was the only contact it seems I had to outside world.

yeah .. since i had my surgeries i get out of the house like 1 or 2 times a month for a couple hours for Dr appts and to pay my bills ....... other than that i do not get to go or do ANYTHING so i stay online ... so i classify the web as my family and friends as noone ever even comes by.. well once in like every 3 to 5 months my dad drops by and thats it. I got 2 kids that live within 2 miles of me and they dont even come by .. so i have resided myself as a burden on everyone i know cuz noone wants to come see me or visit or even call to see if im still alive or not .. not even my own wife stays home to spend time with me since my last one in 01. so i live on the net and IRC.

Maybe this wiki and stuff will help me do some stuff to my truck and get a few things i would want out of life b4 i die .. but i cant do alot on less than $600 a month for anything so i have to wait till i can get my taxes back to do ANYTHING ... but who knows .. lol im usually at home alone and here online 24/7.
