Depending on your preference and budget, you can go with L&Ls to get a nice height and possibly even a bolt-in experience. But I think you can get the same results with flat 1/4" steel plates and the stock Ranger rubber mounts relocated further down the crossmember. I personally went with the L&Ls, however if I had it to do over again, I'd probably try the flat-plate option just for the cost saving aspect of it.

More than likely they will, as stranger said more info would be helpful. If it is an older Ranger it will sit the engine up quite high for my taste. Give us the info and we can give you a more detailed answer.

The Explorer mounts work for the '98' and newer ones, 4x4's (or those with the torson bar suspension). Even the later Rangers with the 4x2 have to use something other than the Explorer mounts. You'll have to use the common mounts for your truck.

i have 93 4x4 and i used the james duff ones. if yours is a 4x4 the duff ones put the engine about as low as you can get without hitting the pan on one of the supension arms. i still had to grind some off to be able to get the rear drain plug out.

I have an 86 2wd and I used the stock V6 motor mounts and made flat plates to bolt to the motor with the drivers side plate being twice as thick to make it level. I have no oil pan clearnace problems and used a double sump pan. And it all fits under the hood with out a problem. Good luck.
