I'm fine. The damage seems to only have been south of me. No damage in my area. In fact, I drove out to get the wife's car the regular oil change (I don't touch her car mechanically) and while I was out, I got a call from my grandmother asking if I was OK. And I had no clue about the tornado yet.

But thanks for thinking of me. All's well here...

Coolness, glad all is good.

Wish I could say the same about my wifes car, she won't let anyone but me touch it. If she has trouble out anywhere and people start trying to help her she kindly (if you know what I mean)tells them to get away from her car that her husband is on the way. I guess that's ok, at least I know I am trusted with something in her life....LOL

Again glad all is OK

Yesterday afternoon, we had a major hail storm where I live. The winds got amazingly strong. I was seriously getting concerned, but the power never went out and it quickly passed incident free. After the storm system passed, everything got pretty out. I had to go out to the old house just to check on it, so I went driving out there. About 15 miles from where I live, a Tornado had touched down and OMG the destruction. In its path, there were more trees down and broken off than there were up. Tree branches, construction wood, trash, house insulation, and tin roofing everywhere. Roads were blocked for maintenance crews to fix downed power lines. Trees blocking the roads. Houses ranging from whole sections gone to every window busted out and no shingles. We saw a Winnebago trailer frame...just the frame with the pieces of it flung all around. It was the most destruction I'd ever seen in person...and it wasn't as bad as it could've been. Once I got to the old house, everything was fine out there. Some tin roofing was in fields, but nothing major happened out there so I was quite thankful it didn't come any closer than it did. But indeed the Tornado did come through my area.

So glad it missed you again, must be living right dude. As far as the destruction I understand. I don't know if you saw on the news a few weeks ago in Atkins Arkansas when they were hit by one. My brother was right in the middle of it. He called for help and we went down there. It was like being in Iraq, it was just destruction. Something you can't even describe. Again so glad you and your properties are good.

my parents, sister, and 2 brothers live in Jonesboro AR and they said their tornado sirens went off twice that night. they didnt have anything more than some power lines down in town. it seems like they were just south and west of all the destruction.

If you are driving through Atlanta, let me know. As I recall, I owe you lunch. You can take a look at your distributor and coil you sold me a few years ago.

i had 2 weeks off the christmas before last and we drove. its alot different with a kid in tow. when it was just me and the mrs. we drove straight through- about 15 hours. with a then almost 2 year old it was two days there and two days back. were flying this time. the baby and momma went to michigan last fall to check on our cabins and she was fine on the plane. its a shorter flight so it shouldnt be too bad.
