Have you ever pulled the k-member on a mustang? how big of job is it?

I found this link. This sure makes it look like massive job. Did he just do more than what's needed or is that what's involved in getting the k-member out? I'd have to follow his steps till number 16.

that about right except for support the motor by the oil pan. you'll have to support it another way to get the pan off. looks like more work than it really is.

I tried pulling injectors tonight one at a time to see if I could isolate the cylinder knocking but couldn't really. I thought pulling the plug on injector 4 made a difference but it's so little it may have just been me. I had a friend listen too while I was pulling injectors and he thought 4 too but it was so slight neither of us could be sure.
Is that typical? I was expecting the noise to just disappear once we hit the right cylinder. Unless multiple are knocking I suppose, but how likely is that?

CJ, thanks for the info and help. I had a chance to get out to the garage today and I pulled the kmember. It was actually much easier than I imagined. I ran out of time and have not pulled the oil pan yet. Hopefully tomorrow.

So i'm curious as to what the outcome of this was? I seen on the video you responded to say it was a rod bearing. Did you just replace the one set? rebuild the shortblock?
