i ordered a new 750 carburetor

Post by faststang90 »

I ordered a new 750 hp holley today. the one I had on before was a pro form center and on the dyno the guy said he never had one make any power but it made 508 hp at the flywheel. so I sure hope it picks up from the 508 hp

went to the track and it ran a faster 1/8 time but the track did not print all of the ticket. then when it did give us the full pass it was saying the mph was around 55 mph -70 mph. I did a 1/8 to 1/4 and it came up with like a 11.20. we was running the 11.00 class at the track and we came in 3rd place and won 1,000. the two trucks that out ran us was making 10 second passes before so they was faster just slowing down to run in the 11 second class to win some money.

60 foot 1.573
330 4.619
1/8 7.18
mph 95.37

it did the 7.18@ 95.37mph 1/8 mile and before the best was a 7.342@ 94.91 mph. the plugs look very lean after the first pass so I went up a few jet sizes and it was still lean. I ran over a nail at the track so I had to fix that and then it was time to race so the last pass was still lean and it ran like a 11.53@116. I pulled the old holley a part and it was like 8 sizes off on the front and 10 sizes off on the rear. I did not have any bigger jets so I had to call it a day. holley has it that it comes with jet extenions and a float but it did not so I have been trying to call holley but I cant get ahold of them.
