I tried the strange one and it was the one that you had to drill the brake pedal. the rod on that one was built into it and it was too short.
I have another one coming that has a adjustable all thread for the rod. it also has the rod that goes on the stock pin on the brake pedal.
I think it will work I just have to drill new hole in the firewall to hole the plate. I'm also just going to try and use the stock master cylinder

Why would you want to get rid of power brakes?
1986 Ranger with 1990 5.0 HO roller motor
Ported GT-40 heads
Duel plane air gap intake with 750cfm Holly
Paxton SN93 Supercharger with 3 1/2" pulley.
8 to 9psi of boost??
T-5 trans
Large tube shorty headers
Stock posi rear end

on a few passes at the end of the track when you pushed the brakes the truck would die. we was told they was thinking we had manual brakes when the motor was built. we was thinking the power brakes vacuum was to much for the motor. the camshaft on the motor is very large .672 lift camshaft. it was cheaper than doing a good vacuum pump set up.

I got a new aerospace master cylinder because the brakes was not holding that good to do a burn out. they said this master cylinder was •60/40 Front to Rear Brake Bias. so i guess 60% of the brakes go to the front.

I did basicly the same thing with my master cylinder on my truck. I took apart the brake booster to get the rod out of it and with a little massaging got everything hooked up. That is some pretty good #s on that time slip. Good Job!!!!!
Just looking for a win light in my lane.

thanks I think if they would have got the stall right it would be a low low 11 high or a high 10 second pass. I may pull the motor this summer and get the stall fixed. I'll just have to wait and see how hot it gets in Texas this summer. plus I want to have my headers recoated because they are rusting bad.
