I learned how to do It!

Post by Dave » Sun Feb 04, 2007 1:37 pm

You can teach an old dog, very old dog some days, some new tricks. Not only have I learned how to turn this box of electrons on and off, I can actually post pictures now. Might become dangerous.
Been quite again, cold getting everone down? Just waiting for Spring. Explorer motor sitting on stand, E-303 cam, roller rockers, 24# injectors, Jet Hot coated stock cast iron headers. Don't put the Cobra valve covers on an Explorer motor unless you put a spacer between the upper and lower intake. Just can't get the oil fill cap to clear the TB Then you need to lengthen the exhaust tube, and then you have to modify the bracket that holds the throttle cable and the bracket that has the coil packs on it. The old story of how one thing leads to another!

make sure you clear your wiper motor. i ditched the elbow to keep the valve covers. if i put in a spacer i cant mount the wiper motor. i put the throttle body on the intake with no egr spacer. i made a plate to mount the tv cable and accellerator cable on between the tb and intake.

If it ann't one thing, it just has to be another. Long story about the spacer, have to post it later!
Thanks, Dave
