Re: Option for manual trans?
IMO the stock T56 is under rated at 450 ft/lbs. My 03 Cobra is 10 years old now and still on the stock T56 (knock on wood) and I drive the car hard. It's a toy. Since April 2006 its made over 650 to the tires.

Re: 98 ranger 5.0 swap
PATS issue potentially? I know you listed PATS delete but in the newer Mustang ECUs (where I have experience tuning) the PATS delete does not work correctly. This is in SCT Advantage tuning software. It's a known issue and you still have to get the car towed to ford and have PATS programmed. Not sur...

How did you get that upper intake so clean? It looks polished in one of the pics. You do that yourself?

Re: A piece of V8 Ranger History
That's pretty interesting. I know my Red Ranger has changed hands a few times. I've had new owners call me up and chat to me about the truck. Always very positive feed back which is great. One of the latest calls I got was a guy who picked the truck up from his brother and said he let it sit for a l...

A piece of V8 Ranger History
Here's a very well put together manual from a few years ago. Over a hundred pages, pictures, diagrams and charts. It'll give you all you ever wanted to know about V8 Rangers. Maybe you're actually doing a V8 Ranger swap and need this or perhaps you'd just like a piece of history from the site. Eithe...

Support the Site!
Well after 10 + years of supporting the forum and all related costs I'm finally going to allow donations from those that want to. Web site costs, bandwidth used, domain registrations etc. it all adds up and I'd hate for the site to go away. It's a wealth of information and helped countless people wi...

Re: motor mounts 96 2wd
My first swap I used the L&L mounts but wasn't impressed that I still had to drill holes as it didn't line up on my 92 frame. Next swap I just used stock Explorer mounts and lowered the motor into place. Once I had the right spot I just took some metal flat stock around 3/16" I think it was...

Re: Best Way To Reattatch Shifter Knob
Epoxy. Will never just fall off. I was amazed Ford does that on some of their newer cars. Guy brought me a 2011 GT500 he wanted a shift knob installed on. Figured no problem... yeah right. I had to remove the shifter from the car and mount in a vice and then carefully heat the shift knob with a heat...

Re: Shhh...
I would have expected the 331 to use more fuel than the 302 but I must say you did a good job of keeping it close to the 302 in mpg. Does your ECU have a spark table just for idle? or is it also referenced in low load part throttle driving? I experienced something similar on the Cobra which going to...

Re: low boost dyno run
Truck is looking great. Some wicket HP too. What were specs on it again? I've since started playing with turbos myself and very impressed with the power they make.
