Re: Wiring help ?????

Hey good morning! Closest I can come up with is from a great site that has a lot of wiring diagrams and other info. Kind of easier to read than the Helms but missing the intermediate connectors. I have the Explorer and Rangers from 97-2000 but other than the '89' Ranger and '93' Mustang, that's it. ...

Re: 302 headers with AOD

Hey Grumpy, big difference in the bellhousing size of your T-5 157T and the 164T for the AOD. A lot wish there were more good options for the 164T housing. For a mild build, the stock cast iron Explorers might work, they will fit. One of the heddman seriers will work but have to clearance the frame ...

Re: Dragon tail Ride

That had to of been a fun ride. Been to their web site several time and some of them pictures are amazing. Two friends of mine did it once in a Jeep. One was a local and knew when to pull over, just in time to have five bikes come racing by. Pictures of some of them trucks trying to make the corners...

Re: Please help need info b4 swap!!!!

Welcome to our little group here! For sure the '96' F-150 would have the trans and xfer case to use. There are adapters to use your stock case also. Got to check on a couple of other things also.

Chris would probably wish you would use another word than fire. Chris always comes up with something to work on. Keep up the work!

Yep got the Stang home but

Got the Stang home Monday night before the cold rain hit again. Of course had to jump start it, back it up, 6" from the wall of doors and 6" from a Chumero on the other side. Tryed to see if I could make the turn around the Chumero and not loose the front end on the wall. No go so shut it ...

Re: Best Way To Reattatch Shifter Knob

I don't remember what I used wheither it was a super glue or gorala glue but it's not coming off. Bought a used one and they had used electical tape, came off on the test drive. Saleman became really embarassed! Just another truck I should have kept.

Re: New to V8 Ranger

Looks like a good clean build. Recconize the name. I'm on both RPS and TRS and TeddyZee drops in once in awhile also. Another one with quite a little info on them old motors. Think there are two still in the garage. Depending on which pistons you went with, the 2V or 4V, your compresson ratio could ...

Re: About to take swap plunge need advice

I think a lot of us here really not sure of what that cross member is and how it would work, usually a lot of responces. Think the cheapest and most ofter used motor mounts is the mid 80's Stang Conv mounts and swaped side to side. Exhaust is one of them kind of wait an see how everything fits and g...

Re: Shhh...

I was going to guess "O" rings or such. My Parker book must list 300 different gases and fluids and their compatiblity with different "O" rings material. CNG not there, propane yes. Probably something like Malcolm ran into with those gas hoses awhile back. You dealing with a tank...

Re: 331 or 347 for a currently 302-converted MGB

Like Chris said, all depends on end use. As a DD I'd go with the 302-347 plan, just so many good options. If I was into serious road type racing I'd sure step back and go with a 289 spec build. On a tight road course they will out run a big block. Where you at anyway, I see NorthernThunder and think...

Re: More $$$ than sense

Yep, there are idiots out there. I remember a bunch of us dirt biking in a large sand pit. We took a break and watched some 4x4's try and climb a sand hill, just a steep as you can pile it. The couple of Jeeps were doing pretty good as well as a F-150. He thought he'd show them how it was done so he...

Re: motor mounts 96 2wd

Just caught this post. Lot of people on other sites recomend using the mid 80's Mustang conv. mounts. Not a drop in but cheaper, have to move things around depending on swap for clearance. Explorer mounts are just as much work, the two wheel and four wheel Explorers have the exact same front suspens...
