The truck has two fuel pumps a low presure in tank and a high pressure in the frame rail under the cab. remove the high pressure and put seaction of fuel line in and you are done. for years I ran the pressure regulator with a ret...

I believe the two pump setup requires a reservoir between the pumps just before the frame pump. Otherwise the the pumps will be working against each other.
The factory setup had a reservoir and filter beside the frame pump. I just removed the frame and reservoir from my carb'd ranger.
