My T5 harness has a few extra wires I don't use. I can't remember what all extra wires were in there right off the top of my head. All that's used is the two O2 sensors and the neutral switch now that I've swapped out the top cover on the T5 which has the neutral switch. The backup lights and speed ...

Yes the Explorer V8 is MAF and roller cam. It would make an excellent donor. If you can find one go for it. With regards to purchasing just a block and picking up all the other pieces, don't do it. I can tell you first hand it will nickel and dime you to death. I thought I could get by without a don...

Buddy, I can believe that's how your cab mounts must have looked. Even though mine only had that tiny hole they were paper thin. At first I was just going to weld in patch plates to fix them but they were so shot I could put my finger right through them. Literally. Don't worry to much about the wiri...

Say you wouldn't want to share that circuit with me would you :D

Yeah my truck had a lot of rust. Here's what my radiator core mounts looked like. http://www.v8-ranger.com/projects/v8ranger/framefix/driver1.jpg You can see more pics of how I got my front core fixed up over here http://www.v8-ranger.com/projects/v8ranger/framefix/progress.shtml Here's what my rear...

Another thing you'll find out late in the project (unless you get lucky) is you'll want to find a gas tank with a sending unit that works with your fuel gage. From 89 up, the sending unit worked backwards from the 88s down. Thus if you put an 88 tank in an 89, the gage would read empty at full and ...

Still working on the rearend rebuild. Going kinda slow as I'm waiting for parts to come in. Once I get it all back together and sitting on the ground I'll do more checking on that driveline angles and see were I'm at.

Yes. I'm a fan of all American muscle. I have my favorites but in the end we all want the same thing. More Power.

I don't see one right off hand. I'll look around in the options and see what I find.

Well, at least they found SOMETHING... Doesn't sound like enough to me to cause the vibration you were seeing, though. Yeah I don't think that was enough either. I'm hoping though. I have to get the tranny back in and the rear axle re-assembled before I can get back to drive line angle. The machine...

Update on my axles

Turns out the driver's side axles was bent a little. When I went to pick it up last week they told me the runout on the flange was 0.020. After some more checking they found a high spot in the middle of the axle. They pressed it back straight and now the runout on the flange was just 0.005 then they...

For anyone having a problem getting registered on this board

I've had two people so far who did not get the activation email to activate their account so they could post. Possibly it was stopped by their ISP or a spam filter somewhere, I don't know. Anyhow anyone who has a problem getting registered just email me malcolm at v8-ranger dot com and I'll manually...

Yeah I felt bad for you and the one or two others who could never post on the old board. I never could figure it out so I decided to ditch it sooner than later.

Overall I think this board is going to be much nicer.

For those who want to check the old board for replies before I made the change you can still view it here

Then just continue the replies over here.

Thanks
