I went from a C4 to an AOD and did not have to cut driveshaft. The AOD I used was an AOD not an AODE. The drive shaft yoke spline was even the same. The stock crossmember was retained even though I had to move it forward. The rivets that held the crossmember I cut heads off with a sawsall and the fr...

I have a T5 in my 87 ex cab Ranger with split bench seat. I took a stock Mustang shifter and bolted on backwards. It works great.

I had problems with the same type of adapter you have and after 2 of them I ordred the L&L and no more problems. Well worth the money. I bought only the block adapter and retained the actual filter mount.

I made a solid aluminum disc to replace the rubber steering joint next to the exhaust header. I currently have cast exhaust manifolds but I am considering the Tri-y type headers. The main concern I have with the headers is the collectors being close to the ground( lower I Beams). Plowboy I had surge...

Get a copy of Hot Rod Mag, June 2006, very interesting article" When Good cams Go Bad" on flat tappet cam failure. I think my next engine build will be a roller. If you cannot get a copy let me know and I will try to scan it and email article to you.

I thought everyone was in shock when Malcolm posted his truck for sale. I just went back to work two weeks ago from back operation so I have not been home much and the Doctor told me Monday that I should not wash any cars/trucks for 4 more weeks. Not much action around here. My son-in-law came by Tu...

I had alot of leakage problems when I first built my engine and after trying ever type of gasket I realzed the problem was a mis match of the header port (rectangular) and head (square). In desperation I (temporary fix)installed set of cast exhaust manifolds till I could find the correct header and ...

Split bench seat question

My 87 excab has the split bench seat and I was wondering if the passenger ( bucket seat) would fit on the drivers side. Cheap bucket seats. Anyone tried this? I know the reclining lever would be on the wrong side but my seats would match and usually the passenger seat has less wear. Then I could use...
