There is still a few of us hanging around though. cgrey8 will be your man when it comes to the electronics, that cat is on it when it comes to that stuff. Re: Web site and forum backup!!

Cool...even though not much action here anymore I still check in and have also searched for old info I know is on here. My heart kinda broke when it wouldn't go to page. I just figured you let it go since not much activity, I wouldn't have blamed you though.

Re: I sure miss this site

I go to a few other hot rod sites, one or two can get a little testy at times. Usually the same people, you can tell they don't get along. I have been to the eectuning site a few times and knew you were there. I still haven't ventured into EFI for the hot rods yet but if I ever do I hope I still can...

I sure miss this site

Use to be first place I went to when I got on puter, loved the info and conversation that was here. Nobody put anyone down or any of that stuff, just a good place to be.

Re: AOD transmission mount

I know this is probably late but on my son's 85 we used the original mount....all we had to do was oval out the tranny mount holes in cross member a little....it even bolted right in the factory holes in the frame. Truck was originally a 2.3 with a 5 speed

Re: 1997 v8 carbureted AOD column shift questions

I don't have any suggestions for the column shift as I put a B&M shifter. As for the TV cable I got one from Lokar and it works great, we also have an Edelbrock carb.

Re: roller lifter

yes a 95 block will allow that. As cgrey said the only thing you would ever have to worry about is roller cam or non-roller cam. You could take a 69 302 and bolt everything from your engine to it except for a roller cam. SBF have always been the same. You could even bolt everything onto a 289, I had...

Re: roller lifter

the way you said you thought it was a rod knock at first it could be a wrist pin going bad. I know that's not what you want to hear. They sound a lot like a rod but quieter. If that's what it is most times they are louder when engine is cold and get quieter as it warms up. You can also pull plug wir...

Re: i got my steering gear box in

Yep, strip only I would want manual steering too. When I did alot of racing I preferred manual steering cause I could feel track better, and the weight thing is always a plus.

Re: i got my steering gear box in

Is that a strip only truck? If not I believe you will regret that move, we went to manual steering on the boy's 85 when we first built it. Turning that thing in a parking lot or when not moving was like wrestling a bear. I put P/S back in rather quickly. Not trying to badmouth you or anything just t...
