Re: 2011 GT500 build

That is some high pressures. I'd love to see the dyno graph after your run! I've workded on a few GT500s in the last few years. They're fun cars to play with!

Re: Grumpy's Ranger Pix

Yea, heating and bending the A/C box didn't work for me either. I cut and used some sheet metal and silicone to seal it.

Re: GOODIES!!!!

To activate MFA mode and run lean in open loop would you need to open EGR to cool the cylinder and prevent detonation? Therefore if you have no EGR system you wouldn't be able to take advantage of the increased economy?

Re: WOW........

I just haven't had much time to do anything lately. Still in process of moving. My house sold faster than we anticipated and we have to be out by sept 16. Problem is my new house won't be ready until November. So everything we own is going into storage and my mom has an extra bed for us until it rea...

Yep. There's no escaping it here either. It's so hot the shop fans make it worse. It's better to have them blowing away from you.

Re: 2011 V8 Ranger with a Coyote 5.0L

I gotta know, who's building that?? Is it someone you know or did you just find the pic somewhere??? I've been wanting to do that but I already have too much time and money in my 302 to turn back. I think that would be just awesome to have that in a ranger!!!

In my experience, you will not get any decent bass out of 6.5s. You should have 6x8 in the back above your jump seats, if you have an ex cab, those will give you a little more bass. To be honest, if you don't listen to your music at high volume I'd put just about any 6.5 and 6x8, get a set of bass b...

Re: L&L Mounts... anyoen use them ?

I had to drill some new holes but I also placed my engine as far back as I could. It is so far back that I was able to use the stock trans crossmember in the stock location. I don't have any pictures because at the time my camera was broke.

What field do you work in? Lots of oil and gas, one of our satilite companys is down there. Dave I'm a diesel tech at the Ford dealership in Lafayette. Most of our diesel customers are from the oil field. Since the moratorium our work here has come to a crawl. Even though the moratorium has been li...
