Re: radiator
Here's a '92. Should be a similar procedure: I think I have the same radiator he is talking about trying to fit. It's the pre 95 4.0 explorer radiator. It's smaller and fits a lot easier. I didn't have to cut away from the top of the core support at all. I cut the sides a bit and the bottom was cut ...

And more... Here is the mounting hole I drilled in the core support. Re: radiator
Sure. On my '97, I trimmed the underside of the core support. Only had to cut about 1/4"or so. I was then able to sit the rad on the frame, under the support, instead of on the rad mounts that are on the frame in front of the support. This allowed me to bolt the front of the rad directly to the...

Re: Transmission question
A T5 from a Mustang is a good choice. Not sure if the ECU "has" to be reprogrammed, but it would certainly show the check engine light without seeing the auto trans. (All Explorer 5.0s were automatic) I was able to use my stock driveshaft (5sp Ranger to Mustang T5). I used it to decide whe...

Awesome!!!!
Hey, get you get a couple more shots of your tailpipe routing? That's something I'm considering.
(Oh, and I see what you did with those boards!)

This place usual gets a few posts on the weekend... Anything you guys need pictures of? Getting ready to put the truck to bed for the Winter, and it's working well. This site was a huge help on some of the little stuff (clutch, specifically). If any of you have questions about placement, wiring, wha...

Re: New Clutch slave option
That's pretty cool.
Looks like it would get good travel mounted way "in" there.
My bleeder points down ('83/'84 Ranger DIESEL).
If that one has equal size fittings, (bleeder and line) easy to swap them...

Re: Cowl hoods
I ordered mine from these guys, I believe http://www.up22.com/ Not a hood, I bought a 2.5" cowl for a Fox body Mustang and grafted it into a second hood for my '97. The Mustang hood is about 8" longer than the Ranger, but the lines were parallel. If you want a complete hood, there must be ...

Re: bracket question
Basically, your Ranger PS pump will bolt into any bracket EXCEPT the Explorer one. And, the Ranger AC compressor will only bolt into an Explorer bracket- the mount holes go in the opposite direction. A '95 Mustang FEAD will work for your ps, but not your AC- and requires the specific sn95/Explorer t...
