stock explorer exhaust
Can anybody tell me what the stock 5.0L explorer exhaust system looks like? I'm wondering about things like pipe diameter and cat - O2 sensor placement. Of the 4 heated O2 sensors that the explorer has I know that there are two O2 sensors in the down pipe but I'm not sure exactly where the other two...

Are you guys using that little screen that goes in front of the mass air sensor. I am about to build my air intake and I'm trying to figure out if I should reuse that piece or leave it out. What did you guys do there?

T5 transmission with a PCM for an auto
I have heard from others here that it is possible to delete the transmission controls from a computer that is supposed to control the functions of an automatic transmission. My setup is pretty much factory explorer except for the T5 transmission. I have an EEC V from a 97 explorer. So how can I get ...

That looks really good malcolm. That was along the lines that I was thinking but I was worried that it might end up looking like a hack job. I'm going to try it and we'll see how it turns out. I was looking at the mandrel bends from summit. It looks like you got the one with the 6in radius bend. Is ...

air intake ideas
Anybody have a good solution for the air intake hose? I am using the '99 explorer style intake in a 94 ranger body. I am trying to figure out how to get a 3" hose over to the area just behind the headlight so that i can use a conical air filter pointed down at the ground to get cold air. The in...

wiring
Does anybody know what the stuff is that they use to cover all of the split loom on the stock wiring harnesses? They use it to seal off the split loom and to make it look much cleaner when you have to route a few wires out of the main bundle to another direction. It is like a real thin electrical ta...

the explorer motors are going for more beacuse they are not as old as a 5.0 that came out of a mustang, less mileage. They were still using the 5.0 in the explorer til 2001 I think. Also an explorer motor probably hasn't been hammered on like a mustang would have been. Using a mustang motor with the...

I agree with plowboy34, you should get rid of your wife. The choice seems easy to me. And just think of how much more money you will have to spend on the truck without her around. so to sum up: keep the truck, lose the wife, get a tv with speed channel for the garage, smile more than you ever have b...

steering drag link
The steering drag link in my truck no longer holds grease inside the grease fittings. The rubber boots have developed cracks or leaks and when I pump grease inside it just squirts out of the seals. Is it possible to just replace the grease fittings or do I need to get a whole new drag link assembly?
