sounds like a tfi or stator problem. if you have another distributor try that. otherwise if you can swap a tfi give that a shot. its easier that changing the stator.

I dont remember if i oiled the oring or not. Hitting up a hydraulic shop isnt a big deal, its the principle. you spend almost $300 on an oil filter relocator, a return phone call would be nice. even if its a 'no, we cant sell you just the o-ring'.
