I just went to advance auto today and picked up the tranny mount. It was only ten bucks, works for me!

yeah i'll prob just use the cutoff wheel on it. As far as a new mount goes, is it a universal mount for most ford trannys or is it special for the c4?

Transmission Crossmember
Hey fellas the tranny mount is welded to my crossmember, and is broken. The truck has a c4 in it. I'm assuming I can get another stock crossmember?

Yeah I don't have the power steering pump anyway so i'de rather just switch to manual and keep it cleaner looking under the hood.

Well the motor plates that are welded in are james duff. The swap in my truck was done in 2000, I had to buy new james duff motor mounts because they didnt come with the truck. Apparently James Duff changed the mounts since 2000, because they didn't fit. Had to pull the motor out and use a cutting t...

Hey guys i'm converting over to manual steering, oil lines are still too close to the power steering box (kinking on it). Have any of you done this?

The single plane is generally designed for rpms in the 4-8 thousand range, so it is purely meant for racing. The dual plane manifold is used for street cars that require power in lower rpms. Stick with your air gap, that is plenty sufficient. Only reason I went with the Parker is because i got it for 150 bucks new, and i'm running nitrous.

I'm gonna crawl out of my cage for this one and tell you those tfs heads are too big for your motor. Yes they would work well, but the afr 165 is such an amazing head for the mild 302 it is mind boggling. As far as a carburator I would select nothing else than a holley 650 dp.
