Re: PLEASE DELETE THIS POST
I'm guessing your talking about putting 351 style cylinder heads on a 302? The 351 has half inch holes compared to the 302 which uses 7/16" bolts. The outside on a 302 is 3/8" but I can not say for sure about the size of the 351. Anyway, I looked quick on summit. Your looking for studs wit...

Re: 92 f150 5.0 EFI into A 97 Ranger?
Not that I know a thing about EFI, but I remember hearing that using a truck upper w/ a car lower is the lowest setup you can get. Anyone have a way to check that out?
What about the front dress (belts/pulleys) Wouldnt that be longer or is it the same setup from mustang to truck?

Re: Engine stand mod w/ Video
My old man's stand that he has is like that. Something that was bought, not made... keep in mind this is to work on diesel engines and the like for construction equipment. Stuff that weighs a little more than your average small block. You don't think you'll ever have a problem with the axle l...

why dont you save the money and spend it once, rather than buying something sub-par and not being satisfied.
not from personal experience, but prosystems has by far the best reputation hands down.

Re: 87 Ranger 302 Swap
I have the carb in the top picture, works fine... you don't need an ignition box or anything.
I went w/ something different, I'll sell you my procomp distributor for $50 shipped. Like new, maybe an hour of use tops.
Let me know if you want it.

Re: Gasket question
On a blown engine without any crankcase evac setup, you very well might be pushing oil past the rear main seal. Why is that? I've read that few times but forget the exact reasoning behind it. Is it caused from piston blow by into the crank case? I don't see why the pressure can't just be relieved o...

Re: 2.3 Turbo
I'm pretty sure the 2.3T engines had factory forged pistons, opposed to cast in the n/a form.
But, I have also heard that the Ranger's came with some of the best factory 2.3 heads.
Good luck

Re: Gasket question
Hmmmm, now what to do, lol. I havent had any problems with the stock head gaskets. I have a oil and coolant leak. Its in the back of the motor. Its not a bad leak, I havent had to add any coolant or oil. It leaves a little spot on my garage floor and I dont like that, any leak is bad in my opinion....

Re: Super Swap long Tube Headers Price reduced to $200 ***SOLD
No sir, but they do look great in the corner. :D I'm still a long way from a running/driving truck. Gone through a few 'speedbumps' with this project but that's what makes it fun. I thought it was a good deal, and when I get to that part, I've already got headers. I'll let you know when I do get the...

Re: Convert ford 302 into air compressor
My concern with your idea of half a v8 is how is it going to run? seems like it would be very rough and stumbling? or would it be just like a 4 cylinder? I need to go look at the timing order a little closer. You could even convert a 4 cylinder motor into an air compressor and use your v8 to drive ...

Dave, what about the Ford Racing headers like the ones I used on the blue ranger? do they still make those? They fit very well too. http://www.v8-ranger.com/blue/headers/5.jpg :o That's the way those things came brand new? #2 is pinched just a little, I can't believe that's something Ford Racing wo...

Re: Dyno'd the Cobra yesterday
That's a huge jump.
This has me scratching my head thinking I might be wasting money because I've never had an alignment done after new tires, rims, and I have no idea what other work has been done.
Good luck with the cobra, sounds like it has no problem hauling the mail.
