The above article makes sense, I torqued all my head bolts to 70 pounds. As far as order I always start in the middle and go out. Something like 1,2,3,6,4,5,8,9,7,10 (according to the picture v8ranger posted) I doubt it makes a difference doing it that way, but thats just my little way. I also torqu...

I really am starting to like this truck. :D

Are you going to keep the hood scoop on there? I've always loved the look of a blower sticking up through the hood myself. :)

 Thats one badass small block ford you got there. I would love to see some pictures of that truck to... :) After reading through your signature w/ the description of the truck, I cant imagine anything but good things w/ that setup. The only thing that I would be concerned about is your compre...

well, the wrong oil is better than no oil  I would change it myself, for the few bucks it costs. Not to say that anything bad would happen, it's a lighter weight so it might not hold as much oil pressure. I had a lawn mower that was ran dry on oil and stayed that way for I dont know how long. ...

it's tough to say what 800-900 hp would get you. I know that Mustang video I posted, it took 1,000+hp with dual turbos to break the 8 sec mark. And even that was 8.9x something. So I would be willing to bet that 800-900hp would be mid 9's although all the horsepower in the world doesnt make the tire...

I figured E85 to be a 'faze' when it came out, it really doesnt work out to much for everyday driving from what I have seen. Alcohol burns about 1/3 quicker than gasoline, and at the best price I saw, it would have been equal. I dont know all to much about it, sure it burns cleaner but from a cost s...

When I was first starting my parts collection I saw that in there, and thought about using it but didnt. I dont know anybody who has. But if the picture is true, than I wouldnt think the oil filter relocator would work. The lines would come straight out of the engine, rather than at a right angle. M...

Yeah, I was looking through that list. We are a close third at 59.6 cents per gallon being taxed. Personally, I find that disgusting. I have no idea what it's for. I drive over crappy roads and watch perfect roads get re-paved. I see government officials making way to much money, yet still wanting m...

Bone stock rods, crank, and pistons that support 1000+ HP? Maybe so but my money is on that they wont hold up for long. Soon there will be a video of someone sweeping up them parts off the ground at the track. lol, hey we just saw about 5 runs or so, and it held up pretty good. :D I've heard nothin...

Yeah, I looked around the site to but didnt realize the different cams. Like you said, I think the car was built in stages. The car, if it is the same one, has ran the first 10 second, 9 second, then 8 second quarter mile. The 9 second videos are on youtube, I dont think much was done to the engine....

Where do you see that it has different cams? I know it's twin turboed, but it still would be a stock engine, just with a whole lot more air being crammed down it's throat. The 'credit' part of the video says it's the first 100%stock ford motor to make an 8 second pass in a 1/4 mile and that it's the...

One badass mustang

Saw this in the January 09 of hotrod magazine, checked out the websites. First GT500 to run an 8 second quarter mile, on a bone stock engine and auto transmission. And my favorite part, it still is a street car w/ full interior. I dont know if it says it in the video, but the magazine article I have...
