The ranger is now down to $1800 obo i need money by like 2 weeks im moving to PA west chester i think i know the problem but have to be tight with my money... either radiator or water pump..dont have time or money.... but i cant gaurantee thats the problem.. but a good idea thats it.. erndogg04@yaho...

It is officially for sale now... someone said it needs a 3 core radiator ... but im still unsure about the over heating... im needing to worry about school more than the ranger.... so let me know im in canastota NY 30 mins east of Syracuse NY.... i would take $2000 as is... runs and drives... but ca...

1985 Ford Ranger singlecab LongBed SBC350 engine

Iam Selling my 1985 ford ranger single cab long bed with a chevy small block 350 installed 5spd transmission, i think 7.5" rear end but 4.10 gears was originally 4x4 but front shaft has been removed, and had 6 cyl engine in it... put new gas tank in it, and new OEM ford sending unit for carbura...

ok here is what im going to do.. hopefully to solve the overheating problem.... im going to flush(inside) and power wash-(outside) the existing radiator.. and buy a new water pump (dont know how old the one is on it)... then i have 29" of room to work with 28" radiator so i have to decide ...

It is like 2"- 2.5" thick pretty thick im thinking either the water pump or another electric fan might do the job......

Im pretty sure the gaskets for the intake are on the right way.... not 100% positive but i think so .. and i have 1 16" puller fan running... inside the engine bay on radiator.... not sure if it is the stock radiator or not i havent seen one in a 1985 ranger to see what it looks like....

I took my truck out the other day, and it got so hot the antifreeze boiled into the reservoir and went over 230'F that worried me.. i just put in a 16" electric fan to get rid of the huge rotating mass of a fan i had (but never overheated with mechanical fan...). I changed the thermostat to a 1...

i think i Just ~shat~ myself looking at these pics OMG .... Im speechless this is one wicked extremly powerful truck, once tuned and can handle the punishment those big ass snails are going to put to it... Are you going to street it or strip it, almost seems non- streetable unless less you like driv...

I just bought a V8 85' Ranger with a SBC 350 in it looks clean and doesn't look that complicated looks like some harnesses and hoses had to be cut and made to fit or work... it is also carburated so it is easier to tune and work on and probably make possible. it was 4x4 now is 2wd... any questions s...
