Re: Biggest tire

ditto on the "looking good." I think the tires and wheels look great, I wouldn't change a thing. I just ordered the brackets and things I need to put my ranger on air, I hope that "jumpstarts" my enthusiasm to work on it, as a bunch of side jobs/honey-do/my other vehicles, etc. h...

Re: been too quiet here lately

Winters been mild here in MI also. We had a good 3 days of constant snowfall worth some good accumulation, but that's been it other than some routine dustings. It's funny to hear people say they're done with the snow, we've had enough, etc. Last year we were getting slammed with snow.

Re: e4od

The E4OD is a HUGE transmission compared to the A4LD. I helped a friend drop his from a '93 F150 and it was everything we had to keep from being crushed under it. No trans jack at the time. Ha, reminds me of when i stupidly decided to remove the NP203 from an 84 chevy k10 by myself... wow is that a...

Re: Biggest tire

if you get the nitto 315's and roll the outer lip you'll be fine. Put up some pics when you get em mounted!

Re: Biggest tire

No, those in the pic are 275/40's M/T drag radials, which fit really nice. Are you set on a tire brand? I seen you mention nitto 555's, which I have in 275/40's on those same bullitts now, and they run SMALL. Let me see if I can find a pic of them on the stang... If not, I can go out to my storage a...

Re: Biggest tire

You should be able to get 315's to work with a rolled lip. I have the same wheels as you on my mustang. I test fit them on the ranger with 275/40 m/t's, and they fit well, though it was close to the fender lip. I have DD 03 replica's for one of my other mustangs with the same offset and backspacing ...

Re: What is everyone running for a clutch

If I had the space and money a GT500 would be in my garage for sure. Awesome vehicles although their price tag is in corvette territory and honestly I don't think the GT500 is on the same playing field. Still one heck of a car I'd love to have. Def not same playing field, but if looks could kill......

uh oh! i'm picking up an awd donor!

Well, i've been looking for an explorer or like to use as a winter driver... With our current family situation, I end up running the kids around from school/church/and the such more than the Mrs., and my regular cab pickup isn't fitting the bill anymore. A couple blocks or so once in a while was ok,...

Re: What is everyone running for a clutch

The only times it really shows it self is when I'm moving in small spots like a drive through. I have to rev the engine a bit and slip it to move forward and I'm sure others sitting around think I'm just showing off revving it like that but really if I don't the clutch grabs suddenly and aggressive...

Re: What is everyone running for a clutch

I have a spec 3+ in my Cobra and will point out it has the most insane chatter and has poor street manners. After 2k miles or so it's smoothed out some but I don't really recommend for a daily driver. The break in period was insane too. It chattered so bad it would rattle the teeth out your mouth. ...

Re: What is everyone running for a clutch

King cobra's are NOT what you want if you have +/- 400hp. Go with something else. I like Specs. Go with a stage 2 if you want a stockish clutch feel. I've had King cobras on 350-450ish whp cars and they would hold for 3-5 months then start slipping. If you're driving miss daisy you might get away wi...
