What does the anti-theft/PCM keep from running. Not giving the ground to the fuel pump relay or injectors. Should say what doesn't keep from turning?

The engine won't be modifed will be lefted stock. Dad seems to think you can wire around the anti-theft told him you can't because it's done through the data link. He just loaded the body on the trailer and loaded it with junk :x . He's not pulling the anti-theft out of it. Just came from the local ...

Anti-theft

My dad is wanting me to put in 1998 explorer computer and all in a 1989 ranger. Problem is how do I get around the anti-theft? Is there a programmer I can get to shut it off? I really don't want to wire in the anti-theft module and anti-theft transceiver and tie a key to it. He likes my 1999 4x4 ran...

True GT-40 heads that came out in 1992 from Ford motorsports was stainless valves, better ports, high nickle content. The 93-94 cobra heads were not GT-40 heads I got a set of them thinking they was GT-40 heads they have F3ZE number they was a style of the GT-40 head but they are not GT-40 head. The...

I have found factroy put friction disc against the gear. Since the surface area is smaller than the steel plates it so it wears into the friction disc.

I'm getting ready to put 01 mountaineer rear in my 99 ranger. I know it's 1.5 wider but the stock rear is 1.5 narrower than the front so now it will be the same on both ends. Never understood why they make the rear narrower than the front? They didn't do that on the explorers. It's funny you can see...

I don't know what I was thinking the speed sensor see wheel speed not gear speed like off the back of the trans. So it doesn't matter what gear ratio that is in. Slap me silly

Yes I know the rear abs sensor is also used as a speed sensor. But the front sba sensors are used too. I had the rear abs sensor go out it still had speedo even after I unplugged it. I hope it doesn't mess up the speedo reading I can only think how much ford dealership will charge to change it. Or c...

Gear change

My 99 ranger with 01 mountaineer 5.0 is still running good. I still got the 4.10 gear ratio going to put the mountaineer rear axle and and front axle in that are 3.73 ratio. Is there something I need to change in the GEM computer to make the speedo work right or will it see the change and read right?

I remember you :D . No it went very smooth wiring problem is easy. What I didn't know exactly how the PATS system was so tied into the system intell after digging into it. I end up buying 1 month service of motorcraftservice.com to see the fuel pressure spec among other things for the 1999 ranger an...
