Re: concentric slave cylinder

Well I'm about due for an update. The original install went relatively smooth all the way up to the point of its first test run. I was pleasently suprised to find out that I could easily bleed the slave by compressing it and allowing the air to exit the master. Before I even fired the truck I realiz...

Re: Big front brakes

I got mine from Chris Neighbors of Neighbors Industries. Very cool kit that has been sitting on my shelf next to 4 cobra calipers, dream beams and a flip kit just begging to be installed.

Re: concentric slave cylinder

So I did a little work and thought I'd share my progress. I had an idea of how I wanted things done and decided to go for it. Its not the most cost effective way to do things, but its the way I want it at least for now. Hopefully that won't change once I get it together and find out what I overlooke...

Re: Clutch set up question

So do the 2005+ 4.0 mustangs. They use an internal slave on a t-5. I haven't found anyone who has swapped one to a 5.0 t-5 though. I'm thinking about giving it a try, but not sure I'll be getting to it for a few months though.

Re: concentric slave cylinder

How do you guys like the FMS King Cobra clutch in a ranger? I'm almost stock and I like the supposed revised geometry and the decreased pedal effort, but not sure if the extra clamping force will be too much for a light ranger summer driver on street tires? I'd eventually like to go with the Cobra i...

Re: Trade lowering I-beams?

Yes, a 90 and 96 are interchangeable. Take a closer look at what you got! Not sure but if I remember correctly, belltech does not make I-beams for 83-88 and they're a little harder to find. 83-88 first generation beams (ball joint threads point down, castle nuts below ball joints) 89-97 redesigned I...

Re: concentric slave cylinder

just to remind everyone the 05 mustang v6 5-speed uses a t-5 with an internal slave. looking at pictures ( i've never been under one yet) it looks like the same quick disconnect fitting the rangers use. they also have a remote mount shifter that may help with shifter placement in the ranger. Lookin...

Re: Trade lowering I-beams?

83-88 mount the ball joints in the I-beam and 89-96 mount them in the spindle. I'd double check that rep on the phone, make sure they ain't blowing smoke. I'd be grumpy if they sold me on the wrong ones!

concentric slave cylinder

Hi guys, Thank-you all for the words of wisdom in helping me get my 8 yr project on the road. I finally did it this summer, got it on the road! Well, after 5K fun miles the throwout bearing went. Guess I shouldn't have pressure washed it and then let it sit for 8 yrs! Here is where you guys come in!...
