1994 v8 ranger

I'm putting it up for sell. I will not part it out. it is a race only truck. it has a stock block 347 with dart 195 Pro one heads, it has a solid camshaft .672 lift, has a main cap support, 13:1 compression ratio has to run on race gas. has a new Holley 750 carb. it made 508 hp on the motor dyno. th...

Re: any one try this

thanks I think if they would have got the stall right it would be a low low 11 high or a high 10 second pass. I may pull the motor this summer and get the stall fixed. I'll just have to wait and see how hot it gets in Texas this summer. plus I want to have my headers recoated because they are rustin...

Re: i ordered a new 750 carburetor

it did the 7.18@ 95.37mph 1/8 mile and before the best was a 7.342@ 94.91 mph. the plugs look very lean after the first pass so I went up a few jet sizes and it was still lean. I ran over a nail at the track so I had to fix that and then it was time to race so the last pass was still lean and it ran...

Re: i ordered a new 750 carburetor

went to the track and it ran a faster 1/8 time but the track did not print all of the ticket. then when it did give us the full pass it was saying the mph was around 55 mph -70 mph. I did a 1/8 to 1/4 and it came up with like a 11.20. we was running the 11.00 class at the track and we came in 3rd pl...

i ordered a new 750 carburetor

I ordered a new 750 hp holley today. the one I had on before was a pro form center and on the dyno the guy said he never had one make any power but it made 508 hp at the flywheel. so I sure hope it picks up from the 508 hp

Re: its back alive

I post my pictures with photobucket copy and paste. they said it should be around 4,000-4,500 stall when I had it done. the gear helped the most I think. I think I can get the 60 foot down and it would help the et. when I had it dynoed they asked if it was a lock up convertor because it was not want...

Re: any one try this

I got a new aerospace master cylinder because the brakes was not holding that good to do a burn out. they said this master cylinder was •60/40 Front to Rear Brake Bias. so i guess 60% of the brakes go to the front. http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k281/faststang902000/new%20master%20cylinder_zpsl1j...

Re: Stock block and too much power...

before I did mine the motor shop checked to make sure it was a good block, no cracks. I know some people say that main cap supports just hold the block together after they break. I think it stops parts from moving. I also think if you have a weak crank not 4340 weak rods things move which would caus...

Re: any one try this

on a few passes at the end of the track when you pushed the brakes the truck would die. we was told they was thinking we had manual brakes when the motor was built. we was thinking the power brakes vacuum was to much for the motor. the camshaft on the motor is very large .672 lift camshaft. it was c...

Re: any one try this

I tried the strange one and it was the one that you had to drill the brake pedal. the rod on that one was built into it and it was too short. I have another one coming that has a adjustable all thread for the rod. it also has the rod that goes on the stock pin on the brake pedal. I think it will wor...
