Re: welder preferences
I cant really recommomend a welder for the home owner but the 110V / 220V issue I can tell you that from experiance that the 220V rig will do a much better job, I am in the ship building trade and certified, I can attest that a lower voltage unit will suffice most of the time as long as the penetrat...

Has anyone used the advanced adaptors slick fit headers, and if so do they fit well, Im likely at this point to go with manuel steering if that makes any difference in fitment, I was interested in the Tri Y style but am a bit confused with the proper ones to go with as there seems to be a number of ...

Toyota steering box swap
Has anyone here attempted this swap, replacing the Ford box with a Toyota box to create more room Ive read on other sites this could be done to eliminate the header clearance issue, just not sure as to the validity of such claims, I geuss that it makes sense to do so. moving it to the outside of the ...

Re: old skool 302 or modern 5.0

As for the flywheel Ill find something to do with it, has anyone got the specs on the old school Crane Fireball #294 cam, I think Ill finish that en...

Re: old skool 302 or modern 5.0
What do you think of the roller cam conversions, is it a safe conversion or does it weaken the block when you drill and tap to install the web in the lifter valley, have never heard of any issues there but Im cautious when redefining the structural integrety of such a piece, not that I would immedia...

Re: ranger step side beds
Now picture this, lowered not in the weeds but with a racy stance, some 15 by 10 rims and matching tires on the rear axle coupled to a prepped 9 inch along with the rest of the goodys that come with such a package, Im still a pro street purist and beleive that every thing should be within the stock ...

Re: ranger step side beds
As far the tire arrangment on the rear axle they would be singles, not dual. But the tires would very wide and how ever tall that would practical, the lower front edge of the bed would be a problem to smooth out and match the existing cab lines at that point, I was curious as to what those beds are ...

Steering box replacement
Having seen a few questions concerning conversion to a steering rack I was curious as to what all that consisted of and if the labor involved was worth the gains in a cleaner under hood appearance and minimal HP gains along with the added clearance at the headers frt lft corner of the block and head...

ranger step side beds
Has any one considered the possibility of widening a step side bed to accomidate wider tires and acheiving that fantom duelly look that was some what popular a few years ago, not sure what the fenders are constucted of on those models I beleive its a plastic of sorts, just a thought to throw out the...
